Chandler Pond Community Meeting

After many years and many efforts, Boston Parks and Recreation, in collaboration with Friends of Chandler Pond and the landscape architecture firm Kyle Zick Architecture, Inc. has begun work on a master plan for shoreline restoration and invasive plant removalaround Chandler Pond.

Part of the restoration will be the creation of a buffer of a variety of plants and low shrubs that will protect the Pond from erosion, improve the water quality, provide habitat for diverse species, and help limit the geese to the water. There will also be special access viewpoints created around the Pond.

Boston Parks and Recreation would like to make sure that our Brighton neighbors and Chandler Pond users have a chance to provide feedback on the landscape master plan.

Join us March 16 at 6pm to learn about and discuss the restoration plan, featuring a presentation by the landscape designers with a Q&A session afterward.
